Ocado, the UK’s only dedicated online supermarket, has revolutionised the way people shop, by giving them a uniquely innovative and greener alternative to traditional grocery shopping.
They are constantly looking to increase their product offering and in June this year they realised there was an increasing demand for frozen baby food. Therefore, they required a quality supplier of frozen baby food to support their product offering.
So Baby, a Cheshire manufacturer of organic frozen baby meals was delighted to be amongst the companies invited to tender for this exciting opportunity.
So Baby went on to become shortlisted amongst two other baby food manufacturers, and were then faced with the challenge of having to meet and present to the team at Ocado to fight off the competition to secure the contract as the Ocado supplier for frozen baby food.
At this point, So Baby required the skills of Entyce to assist with the formation of an online sales strategy as well as creating an engaging visual presentation to highlight the key benefits that So Baby and their award winning products have to offer.
Sarah Larkin, founder and Managing Director of So Baby was impressed with the standard of work Entyce produces and did not hesitate in getting the local agency on board to assist.
“The potential of selling our products online with the retail giant Ocado was a once in a lifetime opportunity and although we knew the quality of our products was up to scratch, we needed help from the experts at Entyce to help us demonstrate this to Ocado.” Sarah comments.
Firstly Entyce worked with So Baby to devise a 12 month plan of action to be proposed to Ocado, along with suggested promotional campaigns and banner advertising to feature on the Ocado website to increase awareness of So Baby and to support the sales of the products.
In addition to the presentation and the marketing strategy, Entyce developed a design concept for a new So Baby website to demonstrate the future plans and marketing activity in the pipe line to run alongside the Ocado campaigns to generate brand awareness and increase product demand.
“I was feeling quite overwhelmed about having to present to Ocado, but I was totally blown away by the level of input from Entyce. Nothing was too much to ask and not only were the designs they produced perfect to take So Baby to the next level, they quickly understood the business and their involvement was crucial in our success with Ocado.’ Says Sarah
Since So Baby was selected as the chosen supplier for Ocado, Sarah has wasted no time in proceeding with the proposed website designs Entyce created.
Prior to addressing the design of any website Entyce spends time to research the customer behaviour to discover how they are using the website, in order to enhance this experience and in turn generate more business. With the So Baby original website there was no clear journey for visitors to locate the products suited to them and therefore the website was not as profitable as it could be.
As well as designing an engaging, fun website to appeal to parents with little ones, the new website is also very highly optimised and compatible on all devises to ensure more people searching for organic baby food will discover So Baby and their fantastic range of organic products.
The website is fully content managed meaning that the team at So Baby are able to update the site in-house as and when required.
Libby Entwisle, Director at Entyce adds; “We have really enjoy working with the team at So Baby and we are confident that the online sales will continue to increase, both on the Ocado website and from the new So Baby site. The design of a website is a key factor, but increasing sales is what really matters and this is where are strengths lie.”
