Last week we welcomed Hannah Sherratt to our Entyce design studio in Chester. Hannah is currently studying Graphic Design at Cardiff University, with just one year to go and has joined Entyce during her summer holidays to gain some work experience.
We’re delighted to offer Hannah an insight into the wonderful world of all things creative. As a busy design and digital agency, we have plenty of projects of all types that Hannah can use the skills she has learnt on her course and put into practice. From creating e-newsletters to branding, we are sure that Hannah will get to explore a range of skills during her time with us.
We recently asked Hannah if she would like to show us one of her favourite pieces of work from her course, so we thought we’d share it with you!
“This was a branding project where I had the opportunity to pick any company so I decided to choose a shop that I have always liked called Macouti. After researching and visiting I found some keywords that I wanted to convey through the brand: “rustic, ethnic and sophisticated”. This is why I had the idea to turn the logo into a stamp and couple it with the brown paper as it gives off an organic vibe.
One fact that I thought would be nice to focus on was that their products are shipped from all over the world so I divided the brand into different categories using the world’s seas such as: Indian, Japanese, Atlantic, whereupon I stylised the art to match and ran it throughout the swing labels and tote bags.”
