The team at Entyce Creative, one of the North West’s leading design and marketing agencies, held its annual Entyce Design Competition Awards on Friday 18th March at the Cheshire Ice Cream Farm in Tattenhall.
The annual competition is geared towards design students in the North West, providing an opportunity to gain recognition for their designs and the chance to achieve a head start in their career.
The competition this year saw Entyce working closely with one of their clients, Cheshire Farm Ice Cream, to offer students an opportunity to create designs for the popular local attraction and producer of ice cream. Six main categories were open for students: Logo Design, Advertising, Website Design, Packaging, Photography and Point of Sale.
Libby Entwisle, Managing Director from Entyce Creative explains: “this year saw many more entries than previous years, highlighting just how popular the competition has become around the North West. We believe this is a great opportunity to excite young people and to stress how important great design is to our society.”
The winner of the competition was Marie Carney, a third year student from St Helens College. Marie says “I was so surprised I won as there was a huge amount of competition this year. The award evening was great and it was really interesting to see how other people tackled the brief.”
Jonathan Fell, from Cheshire Farm Ice Cream comments: “the competition has provided a wealth of exciting designs and ideas for the Ice Cream Farm. However, Marie’s entry stood out to all of us as it was completely different from other entries. The amount of time and detailing that went into the design was extremely evident, and we were all so impressed with the designs she came up with for our company.”
